Applications
Where CEREC products are used
„The reactor head needs a wall over 150 mm. Most pressing shops don't have the capacity for that."
→ Hot pressing on a 2,600 t press: KBB, FE and FH heads up to 250 mm thick (starting plate up to 280 mm), including heat treatment after pressing and testing in our own laboratory
„We need a head in duplex, titanium or clad plate, plus a pressing shop with experience."
→ Duplex / super duplex, Ni alloys, Ti, Zr, clad plates incl. tri-clad: dedicated presses for stainless materials, solution annealing, pickling and polishing all in-house
„Our vessel is over 4 metres in diameter. The head cannot be transported in one piece."
→ Spherical caps and segments: heads split into segments with no dimensional limit, with machining allowance or bevels, trial assembly and tack welding before dispatch
„The shutdown is in three weeks and the exchanger head is beyond repair."
→ Standard dished heads in stock: elliptical and torispherical FE, GRC, PRC and MRC heads for immediate dispatch from stock

About CEREC
CEREC (Compagnie d'Emboutissage de Recquignies) has been manufacturing dished heads for pressure vessels and pressed parts from plate in Recquignies, France, since 1907, in the complete range of carbon, stainless, clad and non-ferrous materials. It uses hot pressing, cold forming and flanging on three main presses with capacities from 800 t to 2,600 t.
Alongside the pressing itself, it offers a complete solution: from the purchase of plate from proven European mills through cutting, heat treatment and machining to destructive and non-destructive testing, packaging and transport, all in accordance with the applicable standards and regulations.
