Ways of working together
Mill direct deliveries from renowned producers
We represent leading European and Turkish producers of special steels. The commercial relationship is established directly between the producer and the customer; Pragointer provides complete technical and commercial support throughout.
- A direct contractual relationship producer – customer, with no intermediaries in the supply chain
- Material to the exact specification: grade, dimensions, heat treatment, testing
- Certification to EN 10204 3.1 / 3.2 directly from the producer
- Lead times typically 6 weeks or more, per the producer's rolling schedule
- Higher minimum order quantities: mill volumes at better prices
Prompt ex-stock deliveries
Need material quickly, or in a smaller quantity? We arrange deliveries from European stock and service centres.

Wires and woven wire mesh
We supply stainless wires, woven wire mesh and filters from proven quality producers, including the option of stock-keeping.

Process
How it works
Specification
Define the grade, dimensions, quantity, deadline and required standards. We accept enquiries by email, by phone and via the form.
Quotation
Usually within 24 hours, depending on the complexity of the specification, we prepare a price quotation: price, lead time, availability. From stock or from the mill.
Production / Dispatch
Once ordered, we arrange production at the mill or dispatch from stock. Continuous updates on the status of your order.
Delivery
Material with complete certification: material test certificates, inspection protocols, delivery documentation. We also handle customs clearance and are an approved CBAM declarant.

Not sure which grade you need?
Describe the application and the environment, and we will recommend the optimal material. Our specialists have 35+ years of experience selecting the right grade for specific applications.

Typical questions we solve
- „Our 1.4404 tank is cracking in hot chloride water. What should we replace it with?"
→ We will recommend duplex 1.4462, or super duplex, with an order of magnitude higher resistance to chloride stress corrosion cracking, a higher PREN and, thanks to double the yield strength, often a saving in thickness as well.
- „The part will be induction hardened at our works. In which delivery condition should we order 42CrMo4?"
→ We will recommend the delivery condition (+QT, +N, +A) according to your subsequent process and the required initial structure.
- „We machine a shape from solid bar, thousands of metres a year. Can this be avoided?"
→ A custom profile from Calvi SpA: the shape straight from the rolling mill or drawing plant, material savings of up to 73% and usually with no further machining.
- „The customer insists on 3.2 inspection. How do we organise it so that it does not delay the delivery?"
→ We coordinate third-party inspection (TÜV, LR, BV etc.) directly at the producer so that it takes place within the production schedule.
